Monday Announcements and a last call for Call Committee candidates

Hello All - So much happening these days, a Monday email is in order. Please read below:

- Today we are scheduled to serve at TACO but only have 4 people signed up, so if you're albe, please consider meeting at SVLC to carpool or meeting at First Lutheran (1420 Third Avenue) downtown, by 4:00. Also - if anyone is able to pick up Naemi Cunningham (who lives in the Paradise Hills/Lemon Grove area) so she serve as well, please reply or call the church office.

- Tomorrow at 1:00pm is the next review/discussion session for the ELCA  “Draft of a Social Statement on Women and Justice.” Meeting takes place at SVLC.

- If you were not able to make yesterday's event, please attend the Reflections on Congregational Life and Ministry Event on Thursday, August 16 at 7pm. All are invited and encouraged to reflect on and express your priorities for Shepherd of the Valley’s mission and ministry going into the future. It's a fun and engaging event you will not want to miss!

- And last call for Call Committee volunteers! Even if you have already spoken with someone about this, please reply to this email by tomorrow afternoon (prior to the August Council meeting at 6pm tomorrow) if you are interested in being on the Call Committee, and include a few words about why you should be a good candidate --so that the council may consider your name for the ballot. The Special Congregational Meeting to elect the Call Committee will be on Sunday, September 9 at 10am.

Thanks and peace on your day.
